A dazzling Christmas party for a good cause was organised by the ELPIDA Youth Committee, the younger generation of the Association of Friends of Children with Cancer ‘ELPIDA’, at the HOTEL Ermou venue, on Thursday 13 December 2018.
The heads of “ELPIDA Youth”, Mrs Marianna Goulandris-Lemos, Laoura Lalaounis-Dragnis and Princess Tatiana Blatnic, organised an unforgettable evening with great enthusiasm, aiming to raise money to support the Therapeutic Summer Camp for children with cancer, “ELPIDA Youth Summer Camp”.
In a tastefully decorated venue, utterly festive and bright, all the guests enjoyed unique Christmas moments, inside an atmosphere of love and contribution for the children.
The musical selections of internationally famous DJ Nick Martin, who waived his fee and selflessly performed elevating everyone’s mood, was decisive for the evening’s success, whereas the contribution of companies Spanos S.A. and TAG Heuer was also important, as they rushed to support the event’s causes from the start.
The decoration of the venue was undertaken by the MRCO company, owned by Mr Markos Mahairopoulos, while the flowers were the work of Pavlos, from Pavlos The Flower Shop. The food was by catering company MENOO by PLATIS and the beverages from Pernod Ricard. Responsible for the overall event was production company UTG and the furniture was from Stylebox. The oversight of the event was undertaken by the ELPIDA Youth Committee members Elina Sbokou and Christina Filiagouridou.
The evening was sponsored by: AEGEAN, Grace Atelier, St. George Lycabettus Hotel, MY PORTO HELI Luxury Villas, LALAOUNIS, Marianna Goulandris, Polina Ellis, THEMIS Z and KALOGIROU.
It should be mentioned that the “ELPIDA Youth” Committee was founded in 2015 with the goal of raising the awareness and taking action relating to the psychological care of children suffering from neoplastic diseases. At the initiative of the Committee, the ELPIDA Guest House is being radically refurbished, and at the same time, the energetic members of the Committee have been organising for the past two years, with great success, the ELPIDA Youth Summer Camp, a 10-day therapeutic programme for cured children aged 9-16 years old, with the goal of improving the self-esteem and social skills of the children.
